"Whenever you are designing a learning experience, it's critical to have clear goals defined" (Dirksen, 2016)
I would say here that it is probably a good idea to have clear goals in general. At least in my case having a goal in mind does make all the experiences I am facing more meaningful.
Speaking of the anatomy of learning outcomes in education, there are three essential components that must be included in order to make them measurable and observable:

1. An action verb (you can refer to Bloom's Taxonomy for that) that identifies performance.
2. The content (learning statement) that specifies what earning will be demonstrated in the performance.
3. The condition, criterion, or standard.
The student will be able to produce PDF files using Adobe Acrobat.
Another thing to remember is that learning outcomes may include higher-level thinking skills as well as psychomotor ones. Compare:
The learner will have demonstrated the ability to make hard drive repairs on a variety of hard drive types.
The learner will have demonstrated the ability to analyze hard drives and make decisions regarding required repairs for a variety of hard drive types.
My gratitude this week goes to:
the opportunity to visit Crumbs and Whiskers again and meet Mr. Donut that is the picture above. The news about the kitten being adopted made the whole experience even better.
my beloved mom who helped me go through a few unpleasant moments this week.
my dear friends who found time to celebrate an important holiday with me over the phone as we are far away from each other at the moment.
